IMPACT OF MERCURY CHLORIDE EXPOSURE ON SOME OF IMMUNOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL ASSAYS OF COMMON CARP, CYPRINUS CARPIO

چکیده

This work was designed to evaluate the influence of mercury chloride on some biochemical and immunological biomarkers in common cap, Cyprinus carpio. Around 120 fish were randomly allocated into four groups (30 per group) triplicates as follows; first group act control provided with water only without adding HgCl2; G1, G2 G3 exposed waterborne HgCl2 at levels 0.01, 0.05 0.1 mg l-1 respectively. After one month exposure HgCl2, there significantly decreased (P<0.05) lymphocyte transformation index phagocytic lysozyme activities. Besides, biochemically, Albumin globulin content exhibited declined particularly higher dose HgCl2. In contrast, blood glucose value urea showed increased especially G3. On other hand, variable changes observed total count leucocytes included lymphopenia neutrophilia G1 compared control. conclusion, this investigation indicated that has immune suppressive effects is extremely toxic carp.

Effects of dietary exposure to aflatoxins on some plasma biochemical indices of common carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Aflatoxins are a group of secondary fungal metabolites that occur widely in natural contaminants of many feeds under high humidity and temperature, and are potentially dangerous to fish. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the effects of aflatoxins on some plasma biochemical indices, as clinical biomarkers, in common carp, Cyprinus carpio. Fish were fed diets contaminated with 0 (...

Evaluation of some hematological and sero-immunological parameters of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) during of overwintering

Due to the sharp decrease or lack of feeding of carp during winter and the effects of malnutrition on fish health, the aim of the study was to determine the effect of overwintering on hematological and some sero-immunological parameters of cultivated common carp (Cyprinus carpio). The samples were gathered two times (March and May) from one the earth pond in Behshar. Every time, 30 fish were ca...

Common Carp, Cyprinus carpio

The common carp (Cyprinus carpio) belongs to the family Cyprinidae. In nature, carp live in the middle or lower reaches of a river with slow currents, or in marshes. Their habitats are usually weedy areas with a muddy bottom. Carp fry feed on zooplankton such as rotifers and copepods, but as they grow up they become benthic feeders, feeding on animals and other organic material. The cyprinids h...
